How to Buy on Ozbon
Finding what you need, without getting burned.
Finding it
Search by name, or browse categories. Filter by your state and city so you're seeing things nearby.
Save anything you're considering. It'll be in your Saved tab.
Before you contact a seller
Read the whole description. Most questions are already answered there.
Check the seller. Look at their other listings, their ratings, how long they've been on Ozbon. Verified sellers have a badge.
Compare a few. If one price is far below everything else, ask yourself why.
Talking to the seller
Message through the app. It keeps a record, and it means we can help if something goes wrong.
Ask direct questions. Is it still available. What's the actual condition. Where exactly can you see it.
Staying safe
Inspect before you pay
For anything valuable, see it in person first.
Meet in public
Somewhere busy, during the day. Bring someone.
Never send money in advance
Not for the item, not to "hold" it, not for delivery. This is how nearly every scam works.
Guard your details
No one from Ozbon will ever ask for your BVN, OTP, or bank password. Anyone who does is not from Ozbon.
Trust your instincts
Pressure to decide fast is a warning sign. So is a deal that's too good.
Why Ozbon is different
Every listing is reviewed by a person before it appears. Sellers can be verified. Buyers rate sellers, and those ratings are public.
Pay on Delivery is coming. In our next update, sellers will be able to offer Pay on Delivery, so you pay for the item when it reaches you. Delivery fees will be held by Ozbon and released to the seller only after delivery is confirmed.
If something goes wrong
Report the listing or the seller from the app. Every report is reviewed.
